DIY 2: PISTACHIO SHELL CRAFT

Image
Hullo! This post feels a lot like a personal diary entry (which is fine because I left my diary in my dorm when I came back home, and have been yearning to write down certain things that went down during the last few months; only now, I'm typing.) A couple of months into lockdown with almost nothing productive done (except for catching up with lecture classes online, which believe me, weren't that easy to go through because when you're already on the internet and have your devices in hand, concentrating on hour-long lectures aren't that easy. I'd pause the videos in between and get lost in the world of social media and games- the result being hour-long videos turning into a day-long tasks. And because of all the breaks in between I'd hardly have retained any material.)  Phew! Those were a lot of sentences within the parenthesis, so I'm going to come out now ( ;) ) and finish typing up about it. Where was I? Oh, yes, my kinda sucky concentration and as you...

MASALA LEMON TEA

Hey, you! You're back for more, aren't you? xD Today on my blog, I'd like to jot down the instructions to the recipe of my mother's special   MASALA LEMON TEA.   Okay, a word of caution: this drink can get a wee bit spicy . I often wonder if everyone who tastes it can love it as much as I do, if not more; I wonder if it could suit another person's palate the way it does mine.  Going back into its history in my life and how I got acquainted to it (so I can indulge in my nostalgia just this once), I still remember just how skeptical I was with the whole concept of lemon tea, let alone that of masala lemon tea because the only drink I absolutely adored was "chai" (well, at that point in time at least). But, now I want this recipe to be forever imprinted in my memory to dot just because how homely it feels. Sipping a hot cup during a rainy evening or a winter night is so comforting and this is easily my most favourite go-to beverage. Those of you who've re...

COFFEE CUPCAKES

Image
It was the month of May- a lazy Friday afternoon, in the setting of a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. I was at home, and had been for the last couple of months. Everything seemed so dull.  I then craved for something caffeinated. I wanted a jolt that would bring me back to life.  I'm a tea person. Tannins and theophylline run through my veins. However, I craved for a different methylxanthine. Ugh, I haven't a taste for Coffee with milk, and black just seemed so unexciting (it's a part of my daily routine now, it's what wakes me up every morning xD) . It was then the idea of COFFEE CUPCAKES brewed in the beauty that is my mind. I had been baking and devouring cakes the whole time I had been at home, and this was going to be another delight to my list. Little did I know then that they would turn out perfect- so fluffly and spongy, and just incredibly delicious.  Before I go onto another rant about everything and nothing, I want you to see the photo of how they turned out and get in the ...

I'M BACK!

Greetings!  I'm really not sure how to begin. It's been a realllllly crazy ride. I mean, A LOT has happened in my life in the three years post-inauguration of my baby blog.  For all the newbies on here, I started this blog way back in 2017 as an over-enthusiastic 18-year old, fresh out of writing examinations (my 12th grade boards, my engineering examinations and the examination for being accepted into med school) and with a lot of time on my hands. I started this blog in hope of passing some time, and to create a virtual diary for myself: somewhere I could look into, in the future. I wanted to jot down a few of my creative ideas - well, sort of how readers often-times bookmark important and creative thoughts in a book, I wanted this blog to be my safeplace- a bookmark to all of my creative and important ideas.  I'm not really sure what happened, but the good news is...  I GOT INTO MED SCHOOL! Yes, I'm a medical student now, and in no time I'll become a doc...
